Third Man Trio, Dierker/Formanek Duo

This event has already occurred.

Third Man Trio

If it's not enough to mention that the Third Man Trio (pictured) reunites two-thirds of much-missed madcap Euro jazz trio Clusone Trio, allow us to point out that one third of that two-thirds (with reeds player Michael Moore) is Han Bennink, the legendary Dutch free-jazz drumming imp featured on any number of drooled over line-ups and recordings from the past 40 years. (The third third is accordionist Will Holshouser.) And if it's not enough to hype the Third Man Trio in such a fashion, we hasten to add that the undercard features a duo of local saxophone colossus John Dierker and redoubtable Peabody faculty member and major bassist Michael Formanek. The Creative Differences concert series outdoes itself tonight.
